Affirmation House is committed to restoring HOPE in the lives of Men-In-Transition, Men-with-Children and Men-with-Disabilities. It is our goal to
INSPIRE our men by stabilizing them in a clean and safe living environment.
We ENCOURAGE them by treating them with the human dignity that everyone deserves. Affirmation House is able to support them through their transitional process by private contributions. These contributions allow us to provide them with the basic human needs, such as; food, clothing and personal hygiene products. Generous in-kind donations and volunteers play a major role in stabilizing and preparing our participants for self-sufficiency. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the IRS law.

Professional Service Volunteers:
- Donate your time by providing mentoring for adult men
- Volunteers needed for mentoring and tutoring children
- Financial literacy workshops
In-Kind Donations:
- Personal hygiene products are always needed (bar-soap, deodorant, shampoo, hair conditioner, tooth brushes, tooth paste, mouth-wash, razors, shaving cream, body lotion and toilet paper).
- Bed linens, blankets, face-cloths, bath towels, bed comforters, pillows and pillow cases.
- Office supplies – copier paper, print cartridges, HP - toner kits, Brothers Intellfax Drum for fax machine
- School supplies and book-bags
Clothing:
Affirmation House is workforce based and is need of business attire for our Gentlemen’s Closet. The GC provides a complete suit of clothing to include shirt, tie, belts and dress shoes when possible. Shoe shine kits are an additional tool for preparing to interview for a job.
